Forest School
At Foxhill Primary School we run Forest Schools from our own school grounds. A fully trained Forest School practitioner, runs the forest school with groups of children across Key Stage 2.
What is Forest School?
Forest School is an inspirational process, that offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in a woodland or natural environment with trees. Forest School is a specialised learning approach that sits within and compliments the wider context of outdoor and woodland education.

Children follow specific learning objectives over the course of the programme to build up a range of experiences and achievements. We use the 'WILD PASSPORT' to record this. Children can choose which objectives they want to 'tick off' and it gives them ownership of their learning.
